Sterling Yad with a "Jweled" Crown Finial

Here is your chance to buy at a clearance price authentic designer 'Sterling Yad with a "Jweled" Crown Finial':
Since it is forbidden to touch the Torah Scrolls with your hand, you follow the text with a pointer, called a Yad. "Yad" means "hand" in Hebrew, and the pointer usually is in the shape of a hand with a pointing index finger. Since the Bar Mitzvah is the first time a boy stands in front of the Torah it is very appropriate to give a “Yad” as a meaningful Bar Mitzvah gift that will have a special place in a man’s life forever.

This piece has been crafted by Ben-Zion David, an Israeli artist from an eight-generation Yemenite family of silversmiths. The intricate filigree work is characteristic of the authentic ancient designs the Yemenite family brought with them when emigrating from Yemen to Israel.

    ~ This Yad measures 7 3/4” long, weights 1 1/8oz./33g.

~ Made of oxidized sterling silver, occasional polishing may be needed to keep tarnish off. The crown finial is set with six Garnets.

~ Order ships within 1 business day.
