Sterling Filigree Yad
Here is your chance to buy
at a clearance price authentic designer 'Sterling Filigree Yad': Since it is forbidden to touch the Torah Scrolls with your hand, you follow the text with a pointer, called a Yad. "Yad" means "hand" in Hebrew, and the pointer usually is in the shape of a hand with a pointing index finger. Since the Bar Mitzvah is the first time a boy stands in front of the Torah it is very appropriate to give a Yad as a meaningful Bar Mitzvah gift that will have a special place in a mans life forever.
This piece is crafted of intricate filigree work that is characteristic of ancient Yemenite silversmithing.
~ This Yad measures 7 ½ long.
~ Made of oxidized sterling silver, occasional polishing may be needed to keep tarnish off. ~ Hand made in Israel.
