Hamsa Mezuzah

“My spiritual sources are the Bible and the ancient cultures that lived in the region. A disappearing world that I miss which does not exist anymore” This is how Israeli Judaica artist Shraga Landesman describes the inspiration for his unique work.

A very contemporary twist to a very ancient symbol makes this mezuzah unique. The hand is pulled out just like a bottle cork to allow for inserting the scroll in the tube. The base of the mezuzah is made of Alpaca metal (“white brass” alloy); the long tube and Hamsa are finished with a verdigris patina.
